Discover volleyball at Yagan Square

Discover Volleyball at Yagan Square will see Volleyball WA deliver a range of Discover Volleyball programs alongside the WA Association for Mental Health and Volleyball WA Steel.

The week long event will start with four days of FREE lunch time Urban Volley sessions designed to get Perth CBD employees up and active. On Friday Volleyball WA will host the 2018 Fortix Corporate Cup, which will see five businesses go head to head.

On Saturday we will be conducting a FREE Try Volley session for anybody who wants to play.

Then on Sunday we will finish the week with two paid Kids Volley session with the Volleyball WA Steel, with the funds raised at the sessions going towards the Steel’s 2018 Australian Volleyball League campaign.

URBAN VOLLEY

FREE lunch time volleyball sessions for Perth CBD Employees. The daily sessions are on from the 8th to 11th of October, running daily from 11am to 2pm. 

FORTIX CORPORATE CUP

The Fortix Corporate Cup is back. The 6-a-side competition will see 5 businesses get up and active on the 12th of October.

TRY VOLLEY

FREE volleyball session open to anybody who wants to play. Running from 10am til 1pm on Saturday the 13th of October, the event is your chance to play volleyball in the heart of Perth CBD Employees. 

KIDS VOLLEY

The VWA Steel will be running two 45-minute  sessions. Limited to 20 kids per session, this is your chance to have your kid learn the basics of volleyball.

Mental Health Week 2018

Mental Health Week is celebrated all around Australia and is run in WA by the Western Australian Association for Mental Health (WAAMH), supported by the Government of Western Australia, Mental Health Commission and Lotterywest.

This year, the theme of WA Mental Health Week is all about community and the various settings we go to every day where we can support the wellbeing of others:

'Mental health starts where we live, learn, work and play'

Volleyball WA have partnered with WAAMH to promote the ways sport can help contribute to good mental health. WAAMH is proudly part of Australia's mental health promotion group which plan awareness campaigns around World Mental Health Day.
