Volleyball WA has partnered with the Department of Sport and Recreation to pilot a Youth Sport Leadership Program, which aims to provide a pathway of training and coaching opportunities for young people aged 15-18yrs at a school, club and community level.  In this pilot, thirty-three students from Mandurah Baptist College, Greenwood College and Prendiville College have been given the opportunity to develop their coaching and leadership skills in this program.

The students participated in the Volleyball Australia Level 1 Foundation Coaching Course and Practical Coaching session with Mentor Coaches were held in two locations to make it accessible for the North Metro and Mandurah students. In Term 4 students will start practicing their coaching skills with the junior teams in their schools, at sporting schools clinics and events.
