Fortix Corporate Cup Returns

After a short hiatus the Fortix Corporate Cup is back in 2019 with six teams set to battle it out at Yagan Square on World Mental Health Day.

The Fortix Corporate Cup is being held as part of Volleyball WA’s week long Yagan Square activation and will conclude a day of volleyball activities. Set for Thursday the 10th of October, the event aims to champion the 2019 Mental Health Week theme that ‘mental health starts where we live, learn, work and play’.

Healthway and Lotterywest have partnered up to take on HFM Asset Management and Acknowledge Education in the first pool. While in pool two, Macquarie will face off against Tank Stream Labs and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries. Across the six teams more than 40 employees will compete in the two hour competition and team work activities.

Volleyball WA CEO Robyn Kuhl said she ‘was excited to relaunch the event as part of Mental Health Week’ and look forward to seeing the teams battle it out.

‘We are thrilled to have such a diverse group of Perth businesses and organisations taking part in the Fortix Corporate Cup. It’s great to see companies taking part in Mental Health Week and getting their employees active.’ Kuhl added.

The 2019 event will follow two other volleyball events being held at Yagan Square as part of World Mental Health Day. Volleyball WA will be running a one-hour Kids Volley clinics from 10:30 to 11:30, as well as free lunch time volleyball for Perth employees from 11:30 to 3:30.
