2019 Australian Volleyball Schools Cup – Recap

The 2019 Australian Volleyball Schools Cup came to a close over the weekend with the event changing location from Melbourne in 2018 to the Gold Coast in 2019.

Western Australia was represented by 10 schools. Congratulations to the teachers, coaches and athletes who were involved from the following schools:

Aquinas College, Greenwood College, Hale School, Mandurah Baptist College, Penrhos College, Perth Modern School, Rossmoyne Senior High School, Servite College, Trinity College and Wesley College.

A special mention to the following teams who won medals in their respective divisions:

Year 11 Boys Division 1 Bronze Medal – Hale School

Year 11 Boys Division 3 Silver Medal – Aquinas College

Open Honours Girls Silver Medal – Rossmoyne Senior High School

Year 10 Division 1 Girls Silver Medal – Rossmoyne Senior High School

Year 9 Girls Honours Bronze Medal – Rossmoyne Senior High School

Year 8 Girls Honours Bronze Medal – Rossmoyne Senior High School

In the running for Champion School, Rossmoyne Senior High School finished 2nd falling just short of Brighton Secondary College from South Australia.
