Membership & Affiliation

Schools can join Volleyball WA free of charge as a Silver affiliate which will allow them to enter our school-aged events. If Schools wish to enter teams into additional events and competitions, like the WA Volleyball League, schools can upgrade to a Platinum affiliation. Volleyball WA delivers a range of competitions throughout the school year. Schools can nominate teams for the Think Again Beach Volleyball Cup, WA Volleyball Schools Cup and WA Volleyball Junior League. Winners of the WA Volleyball Schools Cup are then able to nominate teams for the Volleyball Australia Schools Cup in December. Schools also have the opportunity to join the WA Volleyball League by upgrading to the Platinum affiliation

Spikezone & Sporting Schools

Volleyball WA is part of the Government’s Sporting Schools initiative aimed at increasing children’s participation in sport. Volleyball WA’s Sporting Schools program is called ‘Spikezone Schools’, a fun skills based version of Volleyball designed for primary school aged children. A number of Volleyball WA’s affiliated clubs also offer Primary School children the opportunity to play the Spikezone version of Volleyball at Kids Volley clinics. Head to the ‘Where to Play’ page to find your closest Spikezone centre.

Think Again WA School Volleyball Clinics

In partnership with Healthway, Volleyball WA delivers clinics to assist High School students with skill development for school competitions, as part of Physical Education Studies curriculum and to help prepare for Practical Examinations.

Our fully-accredited coaches can also cater for out-of-school clinics, social days and much more.

Teacher PD

Volleyball WA hosts multiple Teacher PD courses throughout the school year. Open to both Primary and Secondary school teachers, participants can choose between an introductory or intermediate course.

Open to Primary and Secondary school teachers. Learning outcomes of the workshop include ball skills, coaching and basic refereeing skills, game ideas, drills and individual skill progression.




Revision of skills from the introductory course. Learning outcomes of the workshop include how to teach the skills of blocking, defence, spiking variations, how to use a back row setter, serve reception and the use of a libero.
