Congratulations to the WA Volleyball Team who played in the Torino 2013 World Masters Games.

WA played against Russia, Brazil, Finland, Italy and New Zealand in the Men’s 40+ open. While the venues and organisation of the event and fixtures were below the quality they are used to in Perth, the quality of the teams was very high. It was significantly higher than in Sydney 4 years ago, which lead to a very competitive and tough tournament for WA.

WA was very competitive in every match against teams taller (as seen in the picture with the Russian Team!) and more powerful. While they did not make playoffs, they can still hold their heads high after a great team effort and well played tournament!
