Event Information

Following our first two trial sessions in September, Volleyball WA will running additional Sitting Volleyball sessions in November, in more locations, to provide an opportunity for persons with disabilities to get involved in the sport. Volleyball would like to acknowledge our partnership with APM and their support for this initiative. You can read more about the launch of this partnership here .

Sitting volleyball is a sport for all, including disabled athletes.  It is similar to standing volleyball but is played on a smaller court and lower net.  It is usually indoors and the players, who have various levels and types of physical impairment, must move around the court in a seated position on the floor. It is a sport that you will have fun, laugh and enjoy.

It is perhaps the most widely known form of ParaVolley thanks to its inclusion in the Paralympic Games since 1980. Played by over 10,000 athletes, in more than 75 countries worldwide it is a truly global game that anyone can play. See more information and videos about the sport here:

Interested persons should register via the online form below. We welcome all ages and abilities to the sessions and we will try our best to group persons accordingly.
