The Australian Volleyball League (AVL) is the National Indoor Volleyball League for men and women coordinated by Volleyball Australia. Our senior indoor volleyball athletes represent their state as the VWA Hornets (male) and Pearls (female). The VWA Pearls and Hornets are teams that combine it all – experience and expertise with the new, young and talented athletes  as well as enthusiastic, hungry and successful coaches pushing to take the teams back to the finals this year.

Preseason training and trial phase for the VWA Hornets and Pearls is now up and running. The VWA Hornets and Pearls are welcoming all WAVL Superleague 1 and U19 volleyball players to attend, whether trialling for the team or just wanting to get extra experience playing at a high level and gaining an insight in to life as an AVL player. Superleague 1 and U19 players are invited to complete an expression of interest via the VWA Member’s Portal.

Open training sessions are $10 per session and will run Saturdays 13th May – 10th June at Newman College – Hornets 8.00am, Pearls 11.00am.
Saturdays 17th June – 29th July at St. Mary’s College – Hornets 8.00am, Pearls 11.00am.
