Referees Courses

Level 1 Referee Course - Indoor Volleyball

In order to attain referee accreditation, new individuals must first attend a Level 1 Referee Course. These courses familiarise you with volleyball rules and include an evaluation of how well you understood those rules. One course typically takes five to six hours to complete.

Once you successfully pass the evaluation, you will be registered with the National Officiating Accreditation Scheme (NOAS) as a District Referee.

Referee courses are generally offered during the indoor volleyball season, which runs from February to September. Dates are set in mid-February each year. For more information, please refer to the flier.

Level 1 Referee Course - Beach Volleyball

This course will be run on Monday, 10th Janaury 2011. Beach volleyball referee courses are not run too often so make sure you get in your nomination form on time!

The course will be run by Ms Catriona Tweedie, an International Referee with a lot of expiericne on the Swatch FIVB World Tour and other major internation beach volleyball competitions.

The course will familiarise you with beach volleyball rules and include an evaluation of how well you understood those rules. One course typically takes five to six hours to complete. All participants are asked to wear comfortable clothes, hat, sunglasses and bring a drink bottle as there will be a practical component.

Once you successfully pass the evaluation, you will be registered with the National Officiating Accreditation Scheme (NOAS) as a State A Referee.
