Indoor Volleyball in WA

Interested in playing indoor, hardcourt volleyball in WA? VWA offers a range of competition options for casual, developing, and elite players.

If you are looking for casual play in a relaxed environment, you will want to look into VWA's Social Competitions. Taking place in a variety of venues in the Perth metropolitan area, these competitions feature either mixed 4-a-side or mixed 6-a-side matches in a social environment. Games are on weeknights and incur a weekly game fee.

For something more competitive, you will be looking at the Perth Volleyball League, which features a range of divisions from Super League (WA's highest division) to intermediate and beginner levels. Time commitments typically involve training once or twice a week depending on your club and level, and games take place every Sunday and some Friday nights during the season.

To play in the PVL you will need to contact a club and join up with them. A full list of VWA affiliated Clubs and their contact details can be found here. They are responsible for training their respective teams and nominating them for the PVL. If you are looking at joining during the season, contact the club you are interested in for more information.

While interested high school students may play in the PVL's junior divisions, they may also train with their respective schools if their schools offer such an option. School teams take part in a variety of interscholastic events in the season, including the WA Volleyball Schools Cup.

If you are still in primary school and looking to take part in junior volleyball, you will want to explore the mini-volleyball programs offered at recreation centres around Perth.
