Round two of the Alcohol. Think Again WA Beach Volleyball Tour kicked off on Saturday 17th December in perfect conditions. Leighton Beach greeted players with blue skies, level sand and a light easterly breeze. With many of the regular AAA teams interstate, competing in the national tour, valuable points and high rankings were up for grabs.
After dominating AA in State Series 1, Rhodri Simmonds and Brett Lewington continued their great form to take out the men's AAA title for State Series 2 against Julian Bowen and Ryan Kennedy.
Sunday brought tougher conditions as the sea breeze made it presence felt, however, all teams played some great beach volleyball. In the AAA Women's division, Emma Bedbrook and Kirsty Cribb were victorious against good friends and training partners Tara Banks and Simone Barker in two tough sets. Strong performances by Talei Wilmshurst/Kobi Evans and Sophie Godfrey/Elise Chapman resulted in 3rd and 4th place respectively.

The Alcohol. Think Again WA Beach Volleyball Tour has a short break for Christmas and returns to the sand at Scarborough Beach on January 7th and 8th 2012.
