Luke Smith's Olympic Diary

The biggest sporting event in the World is about to kick off in only two days with an Opening Ceremony in London.

Athletes from every part of the World have been preparing for this event for years, a lot of hard work and sacrifice has been put in to ensure the best possible performance at what is predicted to be, the biggest Olympic competition.

Australian volleyball community can be proud as we are represented by some magnificent athletes: Men's Indoor Volleyball Team and two Women's Beach Volleyball Teams. It is a great thing to see Green and Gold knowing how hard these athletes have been working.

WA's own Luke Smith is a part of the Australian Men's National Team and now first time Olympian. Despite his busy schedule of training and preparation, Luke has agreed to share his Olympic experience with the WA community and as such will be sending us regularupdates. All these updates will be posted on the Volleyball WA Facebook Page so make sure you tune in and get behind Luke during this so very important time for him and the team. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Volleyball-WA/144107898987077

WA is extremely proud of Luke's achievement and we wish him all the best in the coming week - Go Smithy!
